Fiona and Rebecca invite you to join them for a weekend of deep healing, insight, rest, and relaxation at the stunning location of Riversdale Lodge, Bourne End.


We all have an inner-knowing and yet modern life often has us disconnected from our innate true nature of love and light. In the context of exploring ways to feel more connected to yourself and the world around you, Rebecca and Fiona are fascinated at how modern-day science has ways of explaining ancient wisdom and we want to share some of that passion and knowledge with you.


We are experienced at holding space and creating the conditions for you to enhance your understanding of the body/mind/breath connection and so find ways to release and heal from trauma held in the body.

 Fiona is an experienced yoga teacher who believes that yoga is for everyone and anyone! She has taught for over 10 years.  Fiona is convinced that within all of us, there is a divine and infinite awareness. Being able to access and be in pure awareness takes practice – and it doesn’t have to be serious -  can be fun! Fiona’s style of yog

 Fiona is an experienced yoga teacher who believes that yoga is for everyone and anyone! She has taught for over 10 years.  Fiona is convinced that within all of us, there is a divine and infinite awareness. Being able to access and be in pure awareness takes practice – and it doesn’t have to be serious -  can be fun! Fiona’s style of yoga is about flowing playfulness designed to improve overall mobility and sustain a range of movement throughout life.

Meditation and mindfulness have also been part of Fiona’s practice for over 12 years, studying in India, attending Vipassana, and also completing the MBCT course in Oxford.  She runs workshops and regular mindfulness sessions in colleges, organizations and in yoga studios..

Rebecca uses a combination of approaches to support  individuals and groups to release stress, rebalance the autonomic nervous system and increase their capacity in various areas of life.


She is an accredited coach and experienced trauma and stress release practitioner having developed her combined skills and knowledge over more than 20yea

She is an accredited coach and experienced trauma and stress release practitioner having developed her combined skills and knowledge over more than 20years in organisations and latterly private practice.  


She supports individuals and teams to understand the neuroscience and somatics (brain and body aspects) that underpin our being and more importantly our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.  Using a variety of somatic and neuroscientific approaches she works with you to increase awareness of your personal responses and build your unique toolkit for making long lasting changes and building resilience.

Amber founded the HHJC during the pandemic and since then it has grown and grown as a collective of practitioners brought together by our passion for holistic wellness. Howard is our resident chef, preparing gorgeous dishes from local ingredients. He first learnt ho

Howard is our resident chef, preparing gorgeous dishes from local ingredients. He first learnt how to cook during his days making cooking TV, and since then has practiced and refined his craft, serving delicious food to support your body balance during wellness retreats. Katie is a psychologist and coach, who collaborates on our wellness retreats and can help you root further as you ground yourself and extend the impact of your retreat after you return home. And Romeo is our resident support cat - always on hand (or paw) to give you a snuggle.

the house

Set on the banks of the Thames, facing West towards Winter Hill, Riversdale Lodge is a magical place, an exceptional sanctuary of peace and calm. Here you will find privacy, community and yourself. Originally built in 1890, this historic, charismatic house has been beautifully renovated to unite all the luxuries of a boutique hotel with all the comfort of a home. With 9 teachers to help you reconnect to your natural rhythms, you will leave refreshed and energised. 

The riverside gardens

A long, tree-lined garden stretches from the house to the river’s edge, ending in a large jetty overlooking the Thames and Cookham Moor beyond. The flat lawn is ideal for outdoor yoga. Our riverside kitchen can be used for tea and treats by the water. You can also enjoy paddleboarding, canoeing, or wild swimming from our slipway. 


At the end of the garden is our Meditation Orb, a warm, cosy space lit by twinkling lights, where you can participate in individual or group meditation sessions looking out onto the river. Above the studio is our roof garden, planted with medicinal herbs and vegetables.

The studio is lit from above via 3 enormous roof lights and at night you can see the fairy lights of the roof terrace. All mats, bolsters, straps, yoga blocks, eye pillows and blankets are provided. The yoga studio can spaciously fit twenty mats.

settle in to your Luxurious accommodation

Our bedrooms feature superb beds with beautiful soft bedding and luxurious heated carpets. The River Suite is exceptional, with stone tub and wonderful views of the river. The newly fitted marble bathrooms have elegant Italian fittings, heated oak floors and the softest towels. In addition to the wonderful top-lit studio, there are several spacious living rooms, including a comfortable drawing room with a log burner.

gorgeous vegetarian food

Eat yourself well with our wholesome food, sourced from local, sustainable producers and prepared for you by our on-site chef.  All vegetarian food is included: 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 cakes, and 2 suppers (2 courses).
